One simple look at the photos above and it is easy to see the VAST difference in shear size of the PERRIN Front Mount Intercooler over the OEM one! This is certainly an ideal case of size DOES matter.

Turbo charged engines rely on the compression of air to make boost. Not only does this process raise the temperature of the air, but the unit doing it (the turbo) is also extremely hot. While the motor benefits from the increased pressure, far more HP can be gained by cooling that air down to increase the density. The factory did a great job of placement of front, but they are limited by budget when choosing the core material and size. This is where PERRIN is allowed to excel!

All PERRIN intercoolers are made right here in the USA using similar core designs used on military aircraft, large diesel applications, ships and the like. Divorcing ourselves from the Chinese sourced cores has allowed us to make more HP, have better quality, yet we have been able to keep costs down to still offer you a superior product at a more than reasonable cost. We use a bar and plate design to the core material. This gives us more surface area per cubic inch that tube and fin, along with less pressure drop across the core. Don't forget the cast aluminum endtanks. Reduce weight and increase flow by eliminating restriction.   Additionally, in our quality control area, each core is tested at 120 psi, for ANY leaks.
