Brian Crower high performance camshafts are machined on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders to guarantee accuracy and tolerances to within .02mm. Every Brian Crower camshaft profile has been prototyped and dyno tested for proven horsepower solutions before being committed into mass production. By grinding cores in high volume, Brian Crower is able to pass the price savings on to the end consumer, thereby achieving quality and durability at an affordable price.

Brian Crower applies smaller diameter grinding wheels during the completion stage when applicable to return a more aggressive ramp rate for a faster cylinder fill rate. More air + more fuel = more power. Although it takes longer to grind the cams, research and development has proven that the inverted radius created by the small grinding wheel on the opening side bears more horsepower on the radius and roller rocker applications than the conventional, large diameter grinding wheels.  

All Brian Crower camshafts are checked on a high speed, sub-micron accuracy measuring gauge. The Adcole Camshaft Measuring System uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, with .01 micron resolution, taking one datum point each 1/10th of a degree or 3,600 data points per revolution. Measuring camshafts for rise error and chattermark detection, this model can measure 200 parts per hour.

The Mitsubishi/DSM 6G72 engine platform is 3.0L displacement having a bore size of 91.1 mm (3.590") and stroke is 76 mm (3.000"). The camshafts are for the DOHC 24-valve version which was applied in an assortment of Mitsubishi and Dodge chassis, but most notably this engine is found in the Mitsubishi 3000GT and Dodge Stealth vehicle applications.  In the DOHC 24-Valve achievement of 222 horsepower and 205 foot pounds of torque in naturally aspirated form is generated and as much as 320 horsepower and 315 foot pounds of torque in turbocharged form direct from the factory.
