AEM designs its BRUTE FORCE air intakes for popular trucks, SUVs and late-model, fuel injected muscle cars, and dyno-tunes each system to produce more torque and horsepower for large displacement engines.
 

Our mechanical engineers emphasize tuning the resonance properties on designs that include an aluminum inlet pipe to help carry more air to the intake valves. In a few designs we use a molded High Density Polyethylene tube which allows our engineers to route incoming air in more creative ways.  We route our plumbing so that the filter draws air from a safe and cool location.  Many designs include a steel powder coated heat shield to shroud the filter from engine heat and road dirt. AEM Intake Systems are designed to produce massive horsepower and torque gains as well as better engine sound when used as a replacement for the factory airbox and air filter. AEM intake systems are designed, tuned, and dyno-tested to fit specific cars and trucks. These kits usually include an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic washable air filter for outstanding air flow, filtration, and performance while allowing easy oil-free cleaning.

Most AEM intake systems use mandrel-bent aluminum intake tubes, powder coated heat shields, and high quality hardware designed to reduce restriction and reduce intake temperature.
